Provision of General Engineering Design Services for the Bardsir Site
Bardsir Site General Engineering Services
The “Bardsir Site General Engineering Services” project serves as a hallmark of the integration between infrastructure engineering expertise, structural design, hydrology, and comprehensive management of energy and water transmission networks. This mega-project is designed and currently being executed with the objective of developing transit arteries, ensuring hydraulic stability, securing strategic water and gas infrastructure, and facilitating logistical access across the Bardsir industrial site.
Scope of Services and Technical Achievements
1. Transit Arteries, Road Construction, and Grade-Separated Intersections
Designing and executing a safe, efficient communication network tailored for heavy industrial traffic loads:
- Access Development: Construction of 4.96 km of single-lane paths and 4.86 km of dual-lane paths, adhering to rigorous pavement and geotechnical standards.
- Traffic Nodes and Connection Elements: Design and construction of 3 roundabouts and 3 T-junctions for optimal traffic flow distribution.
- Specialized Technical Structures: Full construction of one grade-separated intersection, encompassing civil works and precise structural calculations.
- Logistics and Weighing Infrastructure: Design and execution of the Entry Scale No. 2 axis, including the main axis and two entry/exit ramp branches, totaling 582 meters.
2. Management, Mitigation, and Diversion of Runoff (Surface Drainage System)
Securing the site against seasonal floods and comprehensive hydraulic management of the area:
- Upstream Drainage: Construction of a 1,175-meter channel for the collection and diversion of surface water from the reservoir site’s upstream section.
- Eastern Drainage Network: Execution of a 4,310-meter channel for the collection and diversion of surface water (adjacent to the gas transmission line, traversing the center of the industrial zone).
- Western Drainage Network: Hydraulic studies and design of a 2,530-meter collection channel.
3. Gas Transmission and Distribution Infrastructure
Design and implementation of supply lines, transmission lines, and industrial pressure reduction stations:
- Gas Supply Line: Execution of a 6,279-meter gas supply line.
- High-Pressure Gas Transmission: Execution of a 2,800-meter high-pressure gas transmission line.
- CGS: Construction and commissioning of a City Gate Station (CGS) for pressure reduction and metering.
- TBS: Construction and equipping of a Town Border Station (TBS) for urban/industrial pressure reduction.
4. Storage, Hydraulics, and Industrial Water Transmission Lines
Ensuring the stability of water resources required for industrial processes and operations:
- Raw Water Storage: Construction of a 50,000 m³ concrete raw water storage tank.
- Reservoir Site Development: Design and development of a centralized water storage tank site.
- Water Transmission Networks: Implementation of water transmission networks, installation of control valves, and construction of specialized manholes and valve chambers.
